Progressive Gets Honors

Progressive Auto Insurance is the nation’s third largest auto insurance company, and their parent company, The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies, announced today that they have been named number one by Keynote ® Systems. Their WebExcellence Q2 2007 Insurance Carrier Scorecard, compares the various auto insurance web sites, and makes determinations as to who is worthy of the honor.

Progressive Auto Insurance took 11 out of 12 Scorecard rankings ever since they were first published back in 2000. The company said that they were thrilled to receive the honor again, and that by getting that top spot again they know that they are doing something right – especially in such a competitive industry.

The company scored number one in Functionality, Ease of Use, Privacy and Security, and Quality and Availability. They also scored the top slot in three of the five task ratings, Get Insurance, Get Service and Learn and Plan. Their showing was considered nothing but impressive, and new additions to their site enabled them to receive as many marks as they did.

The company has added a Spanish language site, an online claims tracking and reporting area, expanded billing options, etc. – which are just some of the improvements that have made them the number one car insurance website. The Keynote ® study said that it was these changes and more that made them stand out from the rest, and make them number one.
